Church Ministry Areas:
Prayer
Colossians 4:2-4, Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Don't forget to pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to preach about his secret plan - that Christ is also for you Gentiles. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaims this message as clearly as I should.
Overview Statement: Prayer is the foundation of our one on one communication with God and is the basis for continued spiritual growth of individuals, families, and opportunities to reach the unsaved.
Training in evangelism and one on one discipleship
I Thessalonians 2:7-8, As apostles of Christ we certainly had a right to make some demands of you, but we were as gentle among you as a mother feeding and caring for her own children. We loved you so much that we gave you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too.
Overview Statement: Evangelism and discipleship are ministries in the church that help build strong personal relationships. Each one reaching one will achieve this building up.
Communication-internally and externally
Ephesians 4:29, Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
Over Statement: Communication is an important tool that builds our church family by sharing information about God's love and blessings. It also encourages us and makes us aware of the needs and opportunities that exist with others.
Small group ministries
Phil. 1:9, I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding.
Overview Statement: Small group ministries is a tool that enables us to grow in love by strengthening our relationships with one another and increasing our knowledge and understanding of God's word.
Special Events-outreach ministries
I Corinthians 16-8-9a, In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus until the Festival of Pentecost, for there is a wide-open door for a great work here, and many people are responding.
Overview Statement: Special events provide a door of opportunity to strengthen our family relationships and our outreach to others by participating in activities that are Godly.
New people focus, greeting, orientation, individual meetings
Hebrews 13:1-2, Continue to love each other with true Christian love. Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this entertained angels without realizing it!
Overview Statement: A new people focused ministry gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our love and commitment to Christ by reaching out to new people. We desire to make them fell welcome, comfortable and open to share their personal needs.
Music ministries
Psalm 150, Praise God in his heavenly dwelling; praise him in his mighty heaven! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! Praise him with a blast of the trumpet; praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord!
Overview Statement: Music ministries give us the opportunity to make a joyful noise, as we lift out voices and spirits, in celebration and praise of our love for Christ.
Youth ministries
Proverbs 22:6, Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.
Overview Statement: Youth ministries give us the opportunity to be involved in the lives of youth to encourage them and increase their love for Christ and His service.
